The manufacturer's name and postal address, the name and address of the EU responsible person, a type, batch or serial number that identifies the product, and the warnings and safety information in the language of every country where you sell. Regulated categories add their own marks on top: CE, the crossed-out bin, age warnings, material and care symbols. ### Which regulation actually imposes the EU responsible person? Two of them. Article 16 of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety, and article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 on market surveillance for CE-marked categories. Both require an economic operator established in the Union, named on the product, the packaging or an accompanying document. ### Is a QR code enough instead of printed text? No. Under the GPSR a data carrier can complement the mandatory information, never replace it. The manufacturer block, the responsible person, the identifier and the safety warnings stay printed and legible on the product or its packaging. ### How small can the mandatory text be? There is no single millimetre figure across all categories, but the information must be legible and indelible. We set safety text at a minimum of 1.2 mm x-height and never below, and the proof file shows the label at 1:1 so you can check it on paper before the run. ### My product is tiny. Where does the information go? When the product itself cannot physically carry the blocks, the rules allow them on the packaging or on an accompanying document. We produce both versions in the same order: the reduced on-product mark and the full packaging or leaflet layout. ### Does the CE mark come with this service? The CE block is placed where your category requires it, but placing it is a declaration that the product already conforms. We do not decide that for you and we will not print CE on artwork for a product with no declaration of conformity behind it. ### What is the difference between CE and UKCA? They mark conformity with two separate legal systems. CE covers the European Union and the EEA; UKCA covers Great Britain. Northern Ireland follows the EU route. A product sold in both places usually carries both marks, each with its own operator named. ### Do second-hand or refurbished goods need this? Often yes. The GPSR applies to used, repaired and reconditioned products placed on the EU market, with limited exceptions. If you import refurbished goods from outside the Union, the labelling obligations follow the goods. ### What happens if a label is wrong? A market surveillance authority can order corrective action, withdrawal or recall, and marketplaces suspend the listing far faster than any authority moves. Penalties are set by each member state; in several of them they reach a percentage of turnover. ### Do I need an EORI number or customs paperwork for this? Not for the label. Customs identification and the label are separate obligations; we produce the artwork and the record, and your freight forwarder handles the customs side. ### Does one subscription cover every country I sell in? It covers the markets on your plan. The European Union counts as one market and includes all 27 member states plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. The United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Australia with New Zealand are separate markets because their rules are separate. ### Why is the UK not part of the EU pack? Because Great Britain left the EU product framework. It wants a UK-established importer or authorised representative with a British address, and UKCA marking for several categories. A label carrying only an EU responsible person is not compliant in Britain. ### What do you do about Proposition 65? If you tell us the product contains a listed substance, or your supplier has flagged one, we place the correct short-form or long-form warning with the right symbol and wording. We do not test the product to find out whether it contains one. ### Is the Canadian label really bilingual? Yes. Product identity and net quantity in English and French, metric first, with the dealer's name and principal place of business. Quebec adds its own language rules on top, and the layout we deliver satisfies them. ### Do I need a local representative in the US, Canada or Australia? For labelling itself, no: those markets ask for an identifiable supplier, importer or distributor with a local address, which is usually your buyer or your own entity. Some categories — food, cosmetics, therapeutic goods — do require a local agent, and we say so before you pay. ### Can you handle a market that is not on the list? Often. Switzerland, Norway, the Gulf states, Japan, Mexico and Brazil come up regularly and we quote them per product. Where a market needs local registration or testing that a label cannot substitute, we tell you that instead of selling you artwork that will not help. ### Does this cover Northern Ireland? Yes, through the EU pack. Northern Ireland continues to follow EU product rules, so the EU responsible person and CE route apply there while Great Britain follows its own. ### I sell only on Amazon. Which market do I pick? The ones where your listings are live. An Amazon seller shipping to Germany, France and Italy needs the EU pack; add the UK pack the day you switch on amazon.co.uk. ### Will Amazon accept these labels? Marketplaces check that the required blocks are present and legible and that a responsible person with an EU address is named. Our artwork carries all of it. What no provider can promise is how a particular reviewer acts on a particular day, and we will not pretend otherwise. ### What about Temu, Shein, Etsy and TikTok Shop? Same obligations, same artwork. Those marketplaces run the same compliance checks as Amazon and ask for the responsible person details in the listing as well as on the product. ### What exactly do I receive? A print-ready PDF at 300 dpi in CMYK with 3 mm bleed and crop marks, an SVG with live text and vector pictograms, and a 1:1 PNG proof for approvals. Each market you ordered gets its own file set, plus the permanent code and its public record. ### Can my printer work from your files? Yes. If your printer wants a different colour profile, a die-line or a specific bleed, send it and we match it. The SVG keeps the text editable, so a local studio can adapt sizes without redrawing anything. ### Which languages are included? Every language the markets on your plan require. For the EU that means all 24 official languages in the same file; for Canada, English and French. Adding a language later costs nothing. ### Do you translate my marketing copy too? No. We translate and typeset the mandatory safety and warning text, which has to be legally accurate. Brand copy, slogans and product storytelling stay yours. ### Can I keep my own layout and typeface? Yes, and most clients do. Send the current artwork or a photograph of it and we rebuild the compliant version inside your own design rather than imposing ours. ### Can I generate labels in bulk from a spreadsheet? On the Every market plan. Send a CSV with one row per product and the labels come back as a single archive named by SKU, each with its own permanent code. ### Who owns the files? You do, permanently. On payment you receive a worldwide, transferable right to reproduce, print and modify the label files for any of your products, in any quantity, on any medium. Our templates and generator stay ours. ### What if my details change after printing? You update the record and we reissue the artwork free of charge. Labels already printed keep working, because the code on them points at the record rather than at a frozen PDF. ### How fast do I actually get something? The certificate and the permanent code are issued immediately: the record is live and the code resolves as soon as the payment clears. The print-ready artwork follows within a few working hours, same day for anything ordered before 15:00 CET. ### Why not instant files? Because a person reads every mandatory block before the files leave. We could hand you an unchecked PDF in sixty seconds, and you would find out it was wrong at the print run or at the border. ### What if my product form is incomplete? We write to you naming exactly what is missing, and the clock starts again when the answer arrives. Nothing is invented to fill a gap in a legal block. ### Do you work weekends? Orders placed at the weekend are delivered on the next working day. The certificate and the code still issue immediately, any day of the week. ### How much does it cost? €290 a year for one market, €590 for three, €990 for every market, with unlimited products on all of them. A market means one rule set: the EU with the EEA, the UK, the US, Canada, or Australia with New Zealand. ### Is it per product or per brand? Neither: it is per market. Products are unlimited, so a seller with one brand and four hundred SKUs in the EU pays €290 a year. ### How is VAT handled? Prices exclude VAT. A business in another EU member state with a number valid in VIES is invoiced under the reverse charge; without a valid number, Czech VAT applies. Companies established outside the EU are invoiced with no EU VAT. The checkout checks the number in VIES while you type. ### What if VIES is down when I pay? VAT stays applied, the payment goes through, and you write to us afterwards: we issue a credit note once the number checks out. We say this in the checkout rather than after the invoice. ### Which payment methods do you take? Cards, SEPA transfer, iDEAL, Bancontact and the other methods Mollie offers for your country. We never see or store card details. ### Does it renew automatically? Yes, yearly, and you can cancel at any time from your account or by email. We send a reminder before the charge, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than the current period. ### Do you refund? The service is for businesses, so the consumer right of withdrawal usually does not apply, and files delivered are delivered. If something is wrong with what we produced, we fix it; if we cannot, we refund the market it concerns. ### Is there a discount for many markets? Yes, that is what the plans are: one market €290, three €590, all of them €990. Ordering markets separately always costs more than the bundle. ### What happens during the seven free days? Everything works. You generate real labels, real codes and real public pages. Verification is a six-digit code sent to a company email address, so disposable mailboxes are refused, and no card is taken. ### What happens on the eighth day? If you have not subscribed, the account closes and the codes stop resolving. Files you downloaded during the trial stay yours. ### Why do you refuse temporary mailboxes? Because the record is a public statement about a real company. Verifying a working company address is the minimum check that keeps the register meaningful. ### Can I start the trial and pay later the same week? Yes. Subscribe from inside the trial at any point and nothing resets: the codes you already issued stay live and keep the same numbers. ### How does the permanent code work? Each product gets a code such as EL-7K2F-91QD, printed on the label beside a QR. The code resolves to a page on this domain holding the current data for that product. Update the record and every label already printed keeps pointing at the right information. ### Is the record a certificate from an authority? No, and the page says so. It documents the data you supplied on a given date. Authorities do not certify labels; they inspect them. ### Who can see the record? Anyone with the code: an inspector, a marketplace reviewer, a buyer, a customer. It shows only what legally has to appear on the label, never your account email, VAT number or payment history. ### What happens to the codes if I cancel? They stop resolving. We keep the record data for thirty days so you can restart without redoing the work, then it is deleted. ### Can a code be reused for another product? Never. A code belongs to one product for good, which is what makes a scan trustworthy years after the print run. ### Who signs and invoices? Europe Services SE, registered in Prague, Czech Republic, IČO 03571785, active since 2014, invoices everything. The UK pack is issued by REP27 LTD in Suffolk and the Canadian pack by Goldman Services INC in Richmond Hill, Ontario. ### Do you become my responsible person? Not under this service. We produce the label artwork and hold the public record. Appointing an EU responsible person is a separate legal mandate with liability attached, which we can arrange through our sister service. ### What do you not do? We do not test products, issue CE certificates or declarations of conformity, write technical files, register you in national EPR, WEEE or battery schemes, or give legal advice. If a product needs laboratory testing, a label will not fix that. ### Do you help if an authority contacts me? We hand over everything we hold about your product record, dated, and answer factual questions about the artwork we produced. We do not act for you before an authority or in any proceeding. ### How do you handle my data? The data you enter builds the label and the public record, is held on our own server in Europe, and is never sold or shared for marketing. The public page shows only what has to appear on the label. ### In which languages can I talk to you? English, Italian and Spanish by phone, and in writing we answer in the language you write in. ## Pages - https://eulabelcompliance.com/ — service, previews, pricing, FAQ - https://eulabelcompliance.com/contact/ — contact, video call, offices - https://eulabelcompliance.com/terms/ — terms of service - https://eulabelcompliance.com/privacy/ — privacy notice - https://eulabelcompliance.com/complaints/ — how to complain, timescales, external bodies in the EU, UK and Canada
